#228: The Power of Using Our Voices - IWD 2021 

In this "Monday mindset episode, I am sharing my thoughts about International Woman’s Day 2021 and the power of using our voices.  The theme of 2021 is #feministrecovery. This is a time to celebrate the contribution of women and girls everywhere.  This is a time to recognize the women who inspire us all and renew the importance of gender equality in Canada and around the world.

In today’s episode we discuss:
1) Especially coming off the year of 2020 that was full of division, the pandemic, loss of jobs, scarcity and fear with income, jobs and health.  This has been the year of comparison, judgment, division, and polarizing opinions.  If there was ever a year that we need to come together to support others, it is definitely now.

2) How we can Be the Change we wish to see in the world.  How we can celebrate the success of others as a rising tide lifts all ships.  We can all rise together. 

3) Stop doing it all alone.  Where can you reach out for support, and where can you be of support for others? This is the time to start using our voices for the greater good, especially when we are scared.
