#182: It’s Always an Inside Job
In this Friday fact episode, we are talking about the concept that everything we do or want to change is an inside job. We can’t just put positive on top of negative. In order to change our thoughts, mindset, or beliefs, it starts with changing what isn’t working for us by starting on the inside.
In this episode, we discuss:
- In order to change your thoughts, beliefs, and mindset, you must first breakdown what isn’t working for you. That means clearing out the negative thoughts before you can truly absorb the positive ones.
- We have this habit of how we think, believe, and act, which is the habits we have of being ourselves. This is the work of Joe Dispenza, “Breaking the Habits of Being Yourself.”
- Journaling has allowed me to dump out my thoughts with no filters or judgments on them at all. Then I look at what limiting beliefs I have right now and what contrary evidence do I have that disproves it?
- By chiseling away the negative thoughts and beliefs, we create a space for the meditations, mantras, podcasts, books, to cement in our bodies and mindsets to be able to grow. This creates long-lasting change to take place.
