132: An Uncommon Combination: Financial Fitness with Shannon Weinstein
#132: An Uncommon Combination: Financial Fitness with Shannon Weinstein
In this episode I am speaking with Shannon Weinstein, of Fitnancial Solutions.
Shannon Weinstein is a CPA as well as a group exercise instructor certified through AFAA and ACE. She operates her accounting practice (Fitnancial Solutions) 100% virtually, serving clients around the country, primarily in the fitness and wellness industries.
Shannon became an accountant because she lost a bet with her dad and followed the "expected path from there on out.” After discovering a love for fitness, losing her dad to cancer, and hitting a crossroads in her career, she finally figured out that she could choose her next direction and there was no such thing as a wrong choice. She discovered the common thread linking all of her passions and that was her drive to be a coach and educator. From tutoring in high school and college to teaching group exercise classes, she is in her element when she if lifting others up and helping them succeed. That is why she started her very own business to help health and fitness professionals and other entrepreneurs.
In this episode, we discuss:
- Money is not a taboo topic. We must talk openly about it, respect it, and honour that money represents an energy exchange for service.
- Working through our money stories is one of the most important things we can do as entrepreneurs to successfully build our businesses.
- There’s no such thing as a wrong choice. Our decisions continually take us on the path we are meant to be on.
- The best mindset shift is to truly appreciate everything. Gratitude shifts everything.
