#78: "The Power and Impact of Community with Falon Malec"
Today we chat with Falon Malec -- Boss Goddess Writing Coach, Author & Founder of the Goddess Guild.
Growing up in Ontario CA, Falon was surrounded by lakes and wilderness, sparking her love of nature and feeding her desire to protect and nurture it. As a child, her nose was always buried in a book, so it was no surprise that she’d develop a love for writing, and shared her stories through her blog, Life’s Dirty Secrets, and collaborative books with other women. Now as an adult, after years of searching for her tribe, she’s combined the power of community with her love of books to create The Goddess Guild, the not-so-secret society for divine change, which is built on the foundation of sisterhood through collaboration over competition.
In this episode we talk about:
1. There will be situations in our life that don’t work out as we expect, and even as far as feeling like it’s the worst possible scenario, and these circumstances can lead us to our biggest growth opportunities.
2. When things don’t work out in our favour, or we have been hurt through the experience, holding onto our anger and frustration only hurts us and keeps us stuck in those emotions.
3. Letting go and moving through the pain is the most effective way to move forward and create healthier relationships with ourselves and with others.
4. We must learn to listen to and trust our intuition. The sooner we improve and strengthen this relationship, the faster we will be able to make decisions. We can build trust in our intuition by learning to follow it when it is speaking to us.
5. Some of the worst situations in our lives can be our best teachers.
6. Forgiveness is for us. We must learn self-compassion and self-forgiveness. Life is full of lessons and we truly are students.
7. There is so much power in community, collaboration and connecting with other women. We can help each other through our most difficult experiences. We are not meant to do life alone.
